We installed EV charging stations at Skyline Square. Residents at 22-36 Bloomfield Ave can start using them now.

This one took a while to actually get done. Adding chargers to a multifamily building isn't as straightforward as it sounds — electrical capacity, parking layout, how residents access the stations, who manages usage. We worked through all of it, and it's finally in place.

The reason we moved on this is pretty simple. A lot of residents at Skyline Square drive every day, and more of them are either already in electric vehicles or getting close to making the switch. New Jersey has been pushing EV adoption hard — the state has real targets around phasing out gas-powered vehicle sales, and the bottleneck for most people isn't the car, it's having somewhere to charge it. Public stations are scattered. Charging at someone else's location requires an app, an account, and sometimes a waitlist. Charging at home, at your own building, is just easier.

So that's what we built. Plug-in hybrid or fully electric, you can charge on-site. No hunting for a spot across town before a morning commute. No planning your week around public station availability.

If you're already driving electric, you're good to go — reach out to management to get access sorted. If you've been on the fence about making the switch, the charging situation at Skyline Square is no longer a factor holding you back.

We've got more improvements planned for the building throughout the year. This was near the top of the list for a while, and it's good to have it done.
